* Michèle Miéville: serving the cause of women running

Born in the mountains, Michèle Miéville lived in Les Marécottes, in Valais, when the editor-in-chief of Spiridon chose to settle in Salvan, a neighboring village. A born sportswoman, English-speaking, Michèle was quick to offer her services to the editor of the magazine. This is how she served as his interpreter during the arrival, in 1976, of Jim Davis, the boss of “New Balance“. And then again the following year, when Tamini welcomed Fred Lebow, the organizer of the New York Marathon. Shortly after, Spiridon took 38 runners to the Corrida de São Silvestre in São Paulo, and Michèle was of course there.
